Why do short routes matter?
The engine and exhaust are not warm enough. DPF regeneration can be interrupted repeatedly and fuel and moisture build up in the oil.
Warning signs
Higher consumption, frequent fan operation, loss of power or check engine light require diagnosis. Forced regeneration is not the solution to every cause.
Prevention in practice
Use the right oil, do not extend the interval and occasionally allow the warmed-up car to drive continuously. When there is a problem, we first look for the cause of the clogging.
